REDEDICATED AND INVESTED CEDLES GSP, Ready Set Go!
“Scouting whistles under all circumstances.” Despite all the challenges brought about by the pandemic, scouting must continue. All school stakeholders play important roles in promoting girl’s welfare amidst pandemic. CEDLES Girl Scouts, parents, troop leaders/ teachers and school head participated the PAGTATALAGA 2021 last June 15, 2021 for the SY 2020-2021 via online platform Google Meet.
There are 161 pupils who were invested and rededicated during this event and was done virtually and organized by the dedicated school troop leader. This pandemic would not hinder the desire of the School GSP community to do the service for the girls and do a good turn daily. To attest this, a number of generous donors/ sponsors shoulder the membership- registration of the girls. The unselfish and generous donors are in the name of the following: Mr. Eduardo Dupio, Mr. Bobby Tatel, Mr. Allan Terrazola, Mr. Genesis Roldan Rodriguez, Inah Rojas Albuera, and John Xavier Chavez. It is true that blessing comes in to those who have generous hearts.
“Ang mga adhikain na nakasaad sa pangako at batas ng Girl Scout ang nagbibigay gabay sa atin para maging tapat at magkaroon ng marangal na pamumuhay. Ito rin ay pamantayan ng pag uugali na dapat sundin ng mga kasapi sa kapatiran ng Girl Scout,” said Dr. Ma. Dolora M. Zaragoza, PSDS District II of SDO Paranaque City.
According to Dr. Genie-Ann T. Santos, PGSDC Chairperson, despite the challenges brought to us by this pandemic, we tried our best to continue the scouting movement that we have in our schools. We nurture the values and inculcate these traits to our girls for them to be better citizens of the country in the future.
Dr. Susan J. Corro, the school principal said “Batay sa batas ng girl scout, dito nasusubok at nahuhulma ang ugali ng isang babaing scout, maging malinis sa salita at sa gawa at sa kahit sa pakikitungo sa ibang tao. Ang disiplina na makukuha natin sa kapatiran ay siya ring magagamit natin upang tayo ay maging matagumpay sa ating buhay”.
The happy faces of the girls whether they are twinklers, stars or juniors during the virtual investiture was evident as they intently listened to all the speakers. “I enjoyed watching the videos of the girls as they performed after each investiture ceremony,” one of the parents expressed which come to light after the program.
