The Department of Education conducted the annual national Oplan Balik Eskwela(OBE) from September 6 to 17, 2021 in preparation for the opening of classes on September 13, 2021 with the theme”OBE 2021:Bayanihan para sa Ligtas na Eskwela”. Along with this, the Brigada Eskwela was implemented from August 3 to September 30, 2021. The theme of this year’s Oplan Balik Eskwela is “BE 2021 Bayanihan sa Paaralan” was adopted to emphasize the country’s collective efforts in promoting collaboration for safe living and addressing social issues and concerns in school, at home, and in the community. The school conducted the Brigada kick-off last September 6, 2021, via FB page and Google meet as the media platform.
Col. E. De Leon Elem. School joined OBE to ensure that all learners were properly enrolled for the school year 2021-2022 and to address problems, queries, and other concerns commonly encountered by the parents and guardians at the start of the school year.
The OBE – Public Assistance Command Center (OBE-PACC) school level was headed by Dr. Susan J. Corro as Chairman, Bliss Loy as Vice-Chair and the members received, processed, and responded to the queries relevant to the opening of classes, assisted in the dissemination and clarification of DepEd policies, programs, and processes and monitored, recorded, and submitted reports on all issues including the action taken.
The school’s teaching and non-teaching staff with focal person per grade level disseminated information through the school website, school Fb page, and other available media platforms.
The recently implemented Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) did not stop the forces behind the school Oplan Balik Eskwela to continue serving the public. To ensure the safety of the skeleton staff that was on duty, observance to health and safety protocols with the supervision of DepEd Covid -19 Task Force was strictly implemented.
